Local Business Leader, Nicholas Mastroianni II, is working to bring new jobs and real estate development to the South Florida market.

Palm Beach Gardens, FL

With the economy continually recovering, local business leader, Nicholas Mastroianni II, is helping to do his part to ensure it stays on the right path.   When the market crashed in 2008, Mr. Mastroianni, a 30-year real estate industry veteran, began to look for alternatives to finance projects.    Traditional bank lending had dried up, leaving few alternatives and ultimately leaving many of the projects slated for construction up in the air.  Allied Capital and Development of South Florida then looked to a little known program called EB-5 to fund the much anticipated and needed property, Harbourside Place.   The EB-5 program allows foreigners to invest in United States, USCIS Approved, projects that stimulate the U.S. economy. EB-5 participants will make an investment of $500,000 to $1,000,000 USD into a U.S. project that will create at least 10 jobs for U.S. citizens from the said investment. In return, the investor will receive a return on their investment, as well as a conditional United States Green Card. This can be obtained for yourself, your spouse, and any unmarried children up to 21 years of age.  Mr. Mastroianni opted to establish a Regional Center to take advantage of this program, aptly named the Florida Regional Center to help promote the Harbourside Place Project and secure investors to help get the project back on track for completion.

As a industry leader, the Florida Regional Center was the 37th Regional Center to receive USCIS Approval, since then the industry has followed, with over 230 more regional centers applying and receiving approval.  Since inception, the Florida Regional Center has received great support and interest, from investors, local community, and governmental support.  The Town of Jupiter has a vested interest in the success of the regional center and ultimately the completion of many of the projects proposed for construction in the Town of Jupiter.  Interest has been so great, that the Florida Regional Center has since begun to work on offering additional projects throughout South Florida, all of which could total in the creation of over 4,000 jobs to be created in the next several years.  Many of the initiatives proposed would result in a stronger infrastructure and use of land that has ultimately been forgotten in past years due to the economic collapse.

Without the leadership of Nicholas Mastroianni II, the creation of the Florida Regional Center would not have been able to be accomplished.  Funding is the key to sustaining and growing business throughout South Florida.  Building the facilities and offering incentives will bring business back to Florida and help to rebuild the work force.   These bold and industry leading ideas and actions have led and will continue to lead to the creation of jobs and successful projects across South Florida, ultimately brining about a better place to vacation and call home.
